Fiona Caley

Fiona is an East Yorkshire photographer and artist who loves to spend time out in the landscape with her camera. During 2020 she spent a great deal of time documenting life through her camera, particularly as a response to losing her father. Once more she found solace through using her camera, in a way that enabled her to express her feelings about what had happened. She found healing and inspiration from being by being by open water.

You are invited to join her in one or both outdoors photography sessions where Fiona will share how she used her camera to steady emotions, enabling her to connect with her surroundings in a gentle and meaningful way. “Our priority won’t be to develop our technical skills, though this may happen incidentally, it will be to learn how to take considered photographs as a way to connect with our surroundings and ourselves”.

Please bring a mobile phone camera or if you have one, your digital camera. It is important that we are able to see what we photograph during the session, Please also being a notebook and pen. These sessions are outdoors, so pleased come appropriately dressed for an outdoor activity. Bring your own water and snacks too.
