Description
Feed the birds! Inspired by the book by Jonathon Ridgeon – Make this cute Willow House bird feeder… It’s like a basket but a bit different. We’ll take you through all the steps to make . Using a range of coloured willow you will learn how to build make a base, stake up, upset, weave sides, make and add a lid, add a handle. Fill it with seed for your birds or gift it to a friend.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some experience of basket making.
All materials are provided and we recommend that you wear sensible shoes, jeans or other trousers, an apron. If you have a good pair of secateurs please bring them along although enough will be available on the day. Please also bring along a weight to use when making your basket. This could be from a set of weights an old cast iron item or just something heavy that is less than 4 inches big.
WHERE? The Village Hall in Little Weighton is a light and spacious space with plenty of parking just past Skidby or Walkington if you’re coming from Beverley.
ANY PARKING? Parking is behind the village hall and can be accessed via Potterdale drive. Look out for the sign directing you to the Village Hall Car park.
REFRESHMENTS? Light refreshments are provided. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
