Get started with Willow and make your own Round Fruit/ Berry Basket with Pru Todd at Traenerhus. Using a range of coloured willow you will learn how to make a round base, stake up the sides, and weave your basket finishing with a simple trac border. You will learn various weaves throughout the day, depending on your skillset and interests.
Fill it with goodies for your bestie or keep it for yourself …
This workshop is suitable for people with little or no experience of basket making.
All materials are provided and we recommend that you wear sensible shoes, jeans or other trousers, an apron. If you have a good pair of secateurs please bring them along although enough will be available on the day. Please also bring along a weight to use when making your basket. This could be from a set of weights an old cast iron item or just something heavy that is less than 4 inches big.
WHERE? The Village Hall in Little Weighton is a light and spacious space with plenty of parking just past Skidby or Walkington if you’re coming from Beverley.
ANY PARKING? Parking is behind the village hall and can be accessed via Potterdale drive. Look out for the sign directing you to the Village Hall Car park.
REFRESHMENTS? Light refreshments are provided. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
